GM BCM Clone Service – Body Control Module Programming (2015–2024)
EPROM and FLASH Clone for Hummer, Cadillac, GMC, and Chevrolet Vehicles
This service clones your Body Control Module (BCM), transferring data like mileage, VIN, key information, and program calibrations from your original BCM to a replacement with the same part number.
Service Requirements:
Send both your original (faulty) BCM and a donor BCM (new or used).
Important: Your original BCM must communicate with the scanner. If it communicates, we will clone both the EPROM and FLASH. If it does not communicate, we can still clone the EPROM, which may allow the car to start if the flash calibration file matches the car’s options. If the calibration doesn’t match, the car may not start.
Calibration Issues:
If the original flash cannot be read (due to communication issues with the original flash), the donor BCM must have matching options. If you cannot find an exact match, we can order a file from the dealer and perform the update for an additional charge of $100, plus the $80 software file from the dealer.
Donor BCM Compatibility:
Ensure the donor has the same options as your original. If not, dealer-level software updates may be required.
How to Proceed:
Add to Cart and Pay: Add this service to your cart and proceed with payment.
Send BCMs: Ship both the original (faulty) BCM and donor BCM (new or used) to Karman Auto. Be sure to mark the original BCM as “old” and include a receipt or order number with your shipment.
Send to:
Karman Auto (address as per receipt)
What Happens If We Cannot Read the Flash?
If we cannot read the flash due to communication issues, we still have options for you. Here’s what to do next:
Option 1: We can do an EEPROM clone only and send it back. If the options on the donor BCM match exactly (same features/options as your vehicle), everything should work fine. Most of the time, this will work as the key, VIN, and mileage data are stored in the EEPROM.
Option 2: If you want the full calibration data, we can order the dealer file for $80 and program it for an additional $100. This can be done immediately when we have possession of the BCM, and we will proceed as soon as payment is received. The dealer file will update the flash, ensuring it is identical to the original. This is required before we send the BCM back with the EEPROM-only clone.
Option 3: We can send the EEPROM clone back. If the EEPROM clone doesn’t work due to calibration issues, and if you have a dealer-level computer or are a shop, you can do the software update yourself. If you don’t have access to a dealer-level computer, or are not a shop, you can send it back to us, and we will apply the calibration update for an additional $80 software fee and $100 shop rate.
