BMW FRM / LCM Light Module Services
BMW light control on older chassis runs through the LCM (Light Control Module — E39 / E46 / E53 / X5), and on newer chassis through the FRM (Footwell Module — E60 / E70 / E90 / E92 / Mini R5x / F-series). Both modules are common failure points. The “red dot” mileage tamper indicator on certain BMW clusters is also tied to the LCM. We perform FRM and LCM bench services including FRM3 repair, FRM clone, LCM clone with mileage transfer, and red-dot fix.

Not Sure Which Service to Choose?
If you are unsure which option matches your BMW module, the safest path is to email or text us photos before ordering: full label of the original module (the one you want serviced), full label of the donor module if you already have one, the part number, hardware revision, and software/calibration sticker, and a photo of the connector pinout if visible. We will confirm whether the service is supported for your specific part number and hardware revision before you order and ship.
Compatibility Warning
FRM and LCM are different module families and cannot be cross-cloned. FRM3 is the most common failed generation (E70 / E90 / F-series Mini). LCM generations LCM-I / LCM-II / LCM-III on E39 / E46 are also distinct. Send us photos of the module label before ordering.

FAQ
What is the FRM3 repair? The FRM3 (Footwell Module gen 3) on E70 / E90 / F-series Mini is a known-bad module that bricks itself when battery voltage drops during power events. We repair the FRM3 on the bench — the original module is recovered without replacement in most cases.
What is the LCM red-dot issue? On certain BMW chassis the LCM also stores mileage. After mileage tampering or cluster swaps, a “red dot” warning appears in the cluster. We fix the red dot during LCM clone by transferring correct mileage to the donor LCM.
Do I need a donor for FRM3 repair? No — FRM3 repair is performed on your original module. For LCM clone, yes — a donor LCM of the same generation is required.
