Chevrolet Immobilizer / Passlock / VATS / PassKey Services
GM anti-theft systems include VATS (1986-1995 resistor pellet keys), PassKey II (1995-2002 transponder keys), Passlock I and Passlock II (1998-2007, cluster-based key recognition), and modern transponder/proximity systems on 2008+ vehicles. This hub is reserved for our Chevrolet Passlock / VATS / PassKey bench services as they launch. Many GM anti-theft issues are solved through BCM cloning or ECM reprogramming — see those hubs first.
Available Services
This hub is reserved for upcoming services. Contact us if you need this work — we can provide a quote based on your specific module and part number.
Not Sure Which Service to Choose?
If you are unsure which option matches your Chevrolet or GM module, the safest path is to email or text us photos before ordering: full label of the original module (the one you want serviced), full label of the donor module if you already have one, the part number, hardware revision, and software/calibration sticker, and a photo of the connector pinout if visible. We will confirm whether the service is supported for your specific part number and hardware revision before you order and ship.
Compatibility Warning
GM anti-theft service requires correct identification of the system (VATS, PassKey II, Passlock I, Passlock II, transponder, proximity). Each generation requires different tooling and bench procedures.
What to Ship
- Your original Chevrolet / GM module (the failed/locked unit), clearly marked “ORIGINAL”
- If applicable: a donor module, clearly marked “DONOR” — same part number family and hardware revision as the original
- Your order receipt printed, or order number written on a slip in the box
- Your return shipping address
- Ship to the address shown on your order receipt at checkout (we operate from 2 locations and route based on tool availability and turnaround)

FAQ
What is Passlock? Passlock is GMs name for the cluster-based anti-theft system used on many 1998-2007 vehicles. The cluster holds the key authentication and tells the ECM whether to allow the engine to start.
What is VATS? VATS (Vehicle Anti-Theft System) is GMs original 1986-1995 anti-theft using resistor pellets in the key. Common on Corvette, Camaro, Firebird, and many full-size cars of that era.
I have a “Service Theft Deterrent System” message — what do I order? This message typically comes from a BCM, cluster, or PassKey/Passlock chain issue. Start by sending us photos of the BCM and cluster labels — we will tell you which service applies.
