Chevrolet BCM / VBCM / Fuse Box Services

BCM (Body Control Module) failure is one of the most common Chevrolet and GM electronic issues. Cobalt, HHR, Malibu, Silverado, Traverse, Corvette, Colorado, Canyon, Sonic, and many GMT800 / GMT900 trucks all use related BCM families. When the BCM fails, lighting, locking, anti-theft, and many comfort functions go offline. We perform GM BCM and VBCM clone work on the bench — VIN, anti-theft Passlock data, customer parameters, and keys preserved where readable.

Not Sure Which Service to Choose?

If you are unsure which option matches your Chevrolet or GM module, the safest path is to email or text us photos before ordering: full label of the original module (the one you want serviced), full label of the donor module if you already have one, the part number, hardware revision, and software/calibration sticker, and a photo of the connector pinout if visible. We will confirm whether the service is supported for your specific part number and hardware revision before you order and ship.

Compatibility Warning

BCM cloning requires a donor of the same part number prefix and hardware revision. Cobalt / HHR / Pontiac G5 BCMs share part-number families; Silverado / Sierra / Tahoe / Yukon share another; Cobalt is not compatible with Silverado etc. Send us photos of the BCM label before purchasing a donor.

What to Ship

  • Your original Chevrolet / GM module (the failed/locked unit), clearly marked “ORIGINAL”
  • If applicable: a donor module, clearly marked “DONOR” — same part number family and hardware revision as the original
  • Your order receipt printed, or order number written on a slip in the box
  • Your return shipping address
  • Ship to the address shown on your order receipt at checkout (we operate from 2 locations and route based on tool availability and turnaround)

FAQ

What does the BCM clone preserve? VIN, Passlock anti-theft pairing data, customer parameters, key data, and personalization. The cloned BCM should install plug-and-play with no scanner needed in most cases.

What is the difference between BCM and VBCM? VBCM (Vehicle Body Control Module) is GMs term for the BCM in certain platforms (e.g. early GMT900). The clone process is the same — we transfer VIN, keys, and coding from your bad VBCM to a working donor VBCM.

Which Chevy / GM models are supported? Sonic 2012-2020, Malibu 2008-2012, Cobalt 2005-2010, HHR 2008-2010, Traverse, Silverado, Corvette 2005-2013, GMT900 trucks, Montana / Relay / Terraza / Uplander minivans, GMC Canyon / Colorado / H3, and many more. Send us your BCM label if your model is not listed.

Do I need to take my truck to a dealer after the BCM clone? In most cases no — the clone preserves Passlock anti-theft pairing data and Tech 2 / MDI sees the donor as the original BCM.
