Mercedes ECU Clone Service
Mercedes engine control units across the ME, SIM, EDC, and CDI families can be cloned at the chip level on the bench. We read the original ECU Flash and EEPROM and write every byte onto a compatible donor of the same hardware family — including VIN, SCN coding, customer parameters, and immobilizer pairing data where readable. Cloning is the most common alternative to dealer replacement when the original ECU has failed but is still readable.

Not Sure Which Service to Choose?
If you are unsure which option matches your Mercedes module, the safest path is to email or text us photos before ordering: full label of the original module (the one you want serviced), full label of the donor module if you already have one, the part number, hardware revision, and software/calibration sticker, and a photo of the connector pinout if visible. We will confirm whether the service is supported for your specific part number and hardware revision before you order and ship.
Compatibility Warning
Cloning requires a donor ECU of the same hardware family — same part number prefix, same processor, same hardware revision. ME to ME, SIM to SIM, EDC17CP variant to matching EDC17CP variant. Mismatched donors will not clone and will need to be returned. Send us photos of both labels before purchasing the donor.
What to Ship
- Your original Mercedes module (the failed/locked unit), clearly marked “ORIGINAL”
- If applicable: a donor module, clearly marked “DONOR” — same part number family and hardware revision as the original
- Your order receipt printed, or order number written on a slip in the box
- Your return shipping address
- Ship to the address shown on your order receipt at checkout (we operate from 2 locations and route based on tool availability and turnaround)

FAQ
What does the clone preserve? The clone copies the entire Flash and EEPROM 1:1 — including VIN, SCN coding where readable, immobilizer pairing data, customer parameters, and any aftermarket calibration overlay.
Do I need to take the car to a dealer after a clone? In most cases no — the donor presents the diagnostic tool with the same data as the original. Some FBS4 cases may require additional steps if the donor was previously paired to another car.
What if the donor was previously installed in another car? The donor must be virginized first if it carries another car pairing data.
How long does it take? Most Mercedes ECU clones are completed within 1 to 3 business days of receiving both modules. Shipping adds 2 to 4 days each way.
