Volkswagen Airbag / SRS Module Services
After a deployment, the VW airbag / SRS module locks crash data into the EEPROM (typically as fault 65535 or a permanent crash flag). Replacing the airbag module with a new one is one path; the other is to bench-reset the existing module back to a pre-crash state once the deployed components have been replaced. We perform VW airbag module crash reset on the bench. This service is intended for qualified SRS technicians and professional installers.

Not Sure Which Service to Choose?
If you are unsure which option matches your Volkswagen module, the safest path is to email or text us photos before ordering: full label of the original module (the one you want serviced), full label of the donor module if you already have one, the part number, hardware revision, and software/calibration sticker, and a photo of the connector pinout if visible. We will confirm whether the service is supported for your specific part number and hardware revision before you order and ship.
Compatibility Warning
Airbag reset requires the SRS components on the vehicle to already be replaced before the module is re-installed. Resetting crash data on a module that is going back into a car with deployed bags or damaged seatbelt pretensioners is not safe and not supported. Confirm the deployed parts have been replaced before ordering.

FAQ
What does the airbag reset include? Bench EEPROM read, reset of crash flags back to pre-crash state, fault 65535 cleared, and the module returned ready for re-installation into a vehicle with new SRS components.
Will the airbag light go away? If the deployed SRS components have been replaced and no other faults exist, the airbag light should clear after the reset and a successful self-test on reinstall.
VW airbag and Audi airbag — same service? Yes — VW and Audi share the same SRS module families across many model years. The bench process is identical.
