BMW ECU IMMO Off Service

For compatible BMW DME generations (MS41, MS42, MS43, MS45, ME 7.2, ME 9.2, MSS50, MSS52, MSS54), we can bench-modify the DME so it no longer requires the EWS / CAS immobilizer handshake to start. This is the service to ask for when the immobilizer chain is broken, missing, or being intentionally removed for an off-road / track build.

Not Sure Which Service to Choose?

If you are unsure which option matches your BMW module, the safest path is to email or text us photos before ordering: full label of the original module (the one you want serviced), full label of the donor module if you already have one, the part number, hardware revision, and software/calibration sticker, and a photo of the connector pinout if visible. We will confirm whether the service is supported for your specific part number and hardware revision before you order and ship.

Compatibility Warning

BMW IMMO Off coverage is hardware-specific. The current service covers DME MS41 / 42 / 43 / 45, ME 7.2 / 9.2, MSS50 / 52 / 54. Other DME generations require alternative approaches. Send us the DME label before ordering.

What to Ship

  • Your original BMW module (the failed/locked unit), clearly marked “ORIGINAL”
  • If applicable: a donor module, clearly marked “DONOR” — same part number family and hardware revision as the original
  • Your order receipt printed, or order number written on a slip in the box
  • Your return shipping address
  • Ship to the address shown on your order receipt at checkout (we operate from 2 locations and route based on tool availability and turnaround)

FAQ

When do I need this service? EWS or CAS module failure where replacement is impractical, salvage rebuild where the immobilizer chain is incomplete, off-road / track applications, or engine swap into a chassis without matching EWS / CAS.

Will the engine still need a key? The ignition switch still operates the start sequence. The DME no longer authenticates to EWS / CAS — the engine starts regardless of immobilizer state.

Is IMMO Off legal? IMMO Off is for off-road, race, or salvage rebuild use. Check your local regulations before installing on a street-driven vehicle.
