Chevrolet ECU / ECM / PCM Clone Service

Chevrolet and GM ECUs across the E37, E38, E39, E78, E80, E82, and Delco LS families can be cloned at the chip level on the bench. We read the original ECM Flash and EEPROM and write every byte onto a compatible donor of the same hardware family — including VIN, tune, anti-theft pairing, and customer parameters where readable. Cloning is the most common alternative to dealer ECM replacement when the original has failed but is still readable.

Not Sure Which Service to Choose?

If you are unsure which option matches your Chevrolet or GM module, the safest path is to email or text us photos before ordering: full label of the original module (the one you want serviced), full label of the donor module if you already have one, the part number, hardware revision, and software/calibration sticker, and a photo of the connector pinout if visible. We will confirm whether the service is supported for your specific part number and hardware revision before you order and ship.

Compatibility Warning

Cloning requires a donor ECM of the same hardware family — same part number prefix, same processor, same hardware revision. E37 to E37, Delco LS to matching Delco LS variant. Mismatched donors will not clone successfully.

What to Ship

  • Your original Chevrolet / GM module (the failed/locked unit), clearly marked “ORIGINAL”
  • If applicable: a donor module, clearly marked “DONOR” — same part number family and hardware revision as the original
  • Your order receipt printed, or order number written on a slip in the box
  • Your return shipping address
  • Ship to the address shown on your order receipt at checkout (we operate from 2 locations and route based on tool availability and turnaround)

FAQ

What does the clone preserve? Flash and EEPROM copied 1:1 — including VIN, tune, anti-theft pairing data, and any aftermarket overlay (HP Tuners / EFI Live / DiabloSport flash content is preserved).

Will I need a dealer Tech 2 / MDI after the install? In most cases no — the donor presents Tech 2 / MDI with the same data as the original.

Will my keys still work? If the cluster / Passlock chain on the car is intact, the clone preserves anti-theft pairing data and keys typically continue to work.
