Mercedes ECU Virginizing / FBS4 Renewal Service
Mercedes FBS4 (and earlier FBS3) ties the ECU, EIS, ISM, and other modules to one specific car. A used ECU pulled from another vehicle will refuse to start your car until it is virginized — wiped back to factory state so it can be SCN coded and paired with your VIN and your EIS. We perform Mercedes ECU virginizing on the bench for compatible ECU generations.

Not Sure Which Service to Choose?
If you are unsure which option matches your Mercedes module, the safest path is to email or text us photos before ordering: full label of the original module (the one you want serviced), full label of the donor module if you already have one, the part number, hardware revision, and software/calibration sticker, and a photo of the connector pinout if visible. We will confirm whether the service is supported for your specific part number and hardware revision before you order and ship.
Compatibility Warning
Not every Mercedes ECU can be virginized. ME up to roughly 2014 (FBS3 and earlier) and FBS4 ECUs follow different procedures. Send us the ECU label and the model year — we will confirm whether your specific unit can be virginized and what the deliverable will be.

FAQ
What does virginizing mean in practice? VIN, SCN coding, and immobilizer link are erased from the ECU. The ECU is returned to virgin state ready for SCN coding to a new vehicle.
Will the ECU run my car immediately after virginizing? No — after virginizing, the ECU needs to be SCN coded to your car (typically at a Mercedes dealer or via XENTRY).
Can I virginize my ECU to sell it? Yes — virginizing is a common step when reselling a used Mercedes ECU, so the buyer can install it in their own car.
