Not Sure Which Service to Choose?
If you are unsure which option matches your Volkswagen module, the safest path is to email or text us photos before ordering: full label of the original module (the one you want serviced), full label of the donor module if you already have one, the part number, hardware revision, and software/calibration sticker, and a photo of the connector pinout if visible. We will confirm whether the service is supported for your specific part number and hardware revision before you order and ship.
Compatibility Warning
VW ECU services depend on the exact ECU family (ME, MED, EDC, Simos, Continental) and the hardware revision. ME to ME, EDC17 to matching EDC17 variant, Simos to matching Simos variant. Mismatched part numbers or different processor families cannot be cloned 1:1 and may require alternate approaches.
What to Ship
- Your original Volkswagen module (the failed/locked unit), clearly marked “ORIGINAL”
- If applicable: a donor module, clearly marked “DONOR” — same part number family and hardware revision as the original
- Your order receipt printed, or order number written on a slip in the box
- Your return shipping address
- Ship to the address shown on your order receipt at checkout (we operate from 2 locations and route based on tool availability and turnaround)

FAQ
Which Volkswagen ECUs are supported? Bosch ME / MED / MED17, EDC15 / EDC16 / EDC17, Simos PCR2.1 / Simos 6.2x / Simos 8.51 / Simos 18, and several Continental SID variants across Golf, Jetta, Passat, Polo, Tiguan, Touareg, Beetle, Amarok, and most VW models from roughly 1999 through 2025.
VW and Audi use the same ECUs — do I order a VW service or an Audi service? For shared VAG ECUs either listing works — we process them the same on the bench.
Do I need to ship both modules for cloning? Yes — original plus a donor of the same hardware family.
Will my keys still work after a clone? In most cases yes — the clone preserves immobilizer pairing data when readable.
