Range Rover ECU Clone & ECM Programming Service
Karman Auto offers Range Rover ECU / ECM / PCM cloning and programming services via mail-in for many Range Rover models. We perform bench-level reads and writes — your original module is duplicated 1:1 onto a compatible donor. Cloning is the standard alternative to dealer ECU replacement when the original module has failed but is still readable at the chip level.
What this service includes
- Bench read of the original Range Rover ECU Flash and EEPROM at the chip level.
- 1:1 write of every byte onto a compatible donor ECU of the same hardware family.
- VIN, immobilizer pairing data, software calibration, customer parameters, and any aftermarket overlay preserved where readable.
- Pre-clone backup of both modules filed under your order number.
- Bench verification before return shipping.
Compatibility requirements
Cloning requires a donor ECU of the same hardware family — same part number prefix, same processor, same hardware revision. Mismatched donors will not clone successfully. Send us photos of both module labels (original and donor) before purchasing the donor to confirm compatibility.
What to ship
- Your original Range Rover ECU (the failed/locked unit), clearly marked “ORIGINAL”.
- A donor ECU of the same hardware family, clearly marked “DONOR”.
- Your order receipt printed or order number written on a slip in the box.
- Your return shipping address.
- Ship to the address shown on your order receipt at checkout (we operate from 2 locations and route based on tool availability and turnaround).
Turnaround
Typical turnaround is 1–3 business days from receipt of both modules. Shipping adds 2–4 days each way depending on service.
FAQ
Which Range Rover ECUs are supported? Coverage depends on the specific ECU family, hardware revision, and donor availability. Send us a photo of your ECU label before ordering if you want us to confirm support for your specific unit.
Do I need to ship both modules? Yes — original plus donor of the same hardware family is required for cloning.
Will my keys still work after the clone? In most clone services we transfer supported VIN and immobilizer pairing data when readable, so existing keys typically continue to work.
What if my Range Rover ECU is dead? Many failed ECUs are still readable at the chip level. Send us photos of the label and a description of the failure — we will tell you up front whether the data is recoverable before you ship.
Will I need a dealer visit after the clone? In most cases no — the donor presents the diagnostic tool with the same data as the original.
Can the clone preserve an aftermarket tune? If the tune lives in the ECU Flash that we read, yes — it is copied 1:1 to the donor.
