If you have replaced your Jaguar ECU with a used or donor unit and the VIN does not match the rest of the vehicle, the ECU needs to be reprogrammed with your VIN before scan tools, emissions monitors, and adaptation routines agree with the rest of the network.

If you are unsure which option matches your Jaguar module, the safest path is to email or text us photos before ordering: full label of the original module, full label of the donor module if you already have one, the part number, hardware revision, and software/calibration sticker. We will confirm whether the service is supported for your specific part number before you order and ship.

VIN programming requires the original ECU to be readable at the bench level and the target VIN to be valid for the ECU hardware/calibration.

• If applicable: a donor module, clearly marked “DONOR” — same part number family and hardware revision as the original
