If you are facing difficulties starting your VW or Audi vehicle due to an issue with the immobilizer system, we have the solution for you. Our immo off service can help resolve problems with the immobilizer that cannot be easily pinpointed or are too expensive to fix.
The immobilizer system in modern vehicles is designed to prevent unauthorized access and theft. It works by disabling the engine’s ignition system if the correct key or key fob is not detected. While this security feature is effective, it can sometimes malfunction, causing inconvenience and frustration for vehicle owners.
At our service center, we specialize in providing immo off service for VW and Audi vehicles. Our experienced technicians have the expertise to bypass or disable the immobilizer system, allowing you to start your vehicle without any issues.
Whether you have lost your keys, the immobilizer system has become faulty, or the cost of repairing the immobilizer is too high, our immo off service offers a cost-effective solution. By eliminating the need for expensive immobilizer repairs, we can save you time and money.
Our immo off service is performed using advanced diagnostic tools and software, ensuring a reliable and efficient solution. We prioritize customer satisfaction and strive to deliver high-quality services that meet your specific needs.

Inside the VAG Immobilizer: IMMO 1 Through IMMO 5
Volkswagen Group has run five immobilizer generations. IMMO 1 (1995 to 1997) used a simple transponder query with no rolling code. IMMO 2 (1997 to 2001) added a rolling key but stored the secret key in the cluster. IMMO 3 (2001 to 2006) moved the secret key into a dedicated immobilizer ECU on the column. IMMO 4 (2006 to 2014) combines cluster, comfort module and engine ECU in a three-way handshake protected by SHA-1 over a Component Protection key. IMMO 5 (2014-forward MQB platform) adds Component Protection at every module and encrypts the CAN diagnostic session with AES-128. Each generation weak point is different, which is why a generic IMMO off tool rarely works across the whole lineup.
Which ECUs We Handle for IMMO Off
Our bench runs IMMO-off on every mainstream VAG ECU family: Bosch EDC15 (diesel, 1998 to 2003), EDC16 (diesel, 2003 to 2008), EDC17 C46, C54, CP14 and CP20 (diesel, 2008-forward), ME7 (gasoline, 2000 to 2006), MED9.1 and MED9.5 (FSI and TFSI, 2005 to 2010), MED17 (current gen TFSI direct-injection), Simos 6, 7, 8, Simos 10, Simos 12, Simos PCR2.1, and the current Simos 18.1 and 18.10 on the EA888 Gen 3 engine. For each platform we either zero the IMMO bytes directly, or, on newer units, perform a Component Protection removal that lets the ECU start without negotiating with the cluster.

When IMMO Off Is the Right Call
Situations where we recommend IMMO off rather than a key-clone or dealer re-pair: used engine swap where the donor ECU will not accept the recipient cluster Component Protection key; cluster failure where the replacement cluster can no longer be coded because the vehicle is out of warranty and the dealer refuses an online SVM session; stolen-key scenarios where no transponder remains to clone; race-car and off-road builds where the owner wants to delete the IMMO loop for reliability; or recovery cases where a failed flash or a bad SVM update left the ECU in an unrecoverable state. In each case the engine starts with any mechanical key of the right blade shape after our service.
