What You Get When You Buy the Refurbished Cluster Board

This listing covers the physical refurbished instrument cluster assembly, fully bench-tested and ready to install, rather than our mail-in repair service. Each unit leaves our shop with a new EL foil panel, a rebuilt inverter board with upgraded capacitors, fresh stepper-motor pinions on the gauge pointers, and a cleaned acrylic lens. Ship us your VIN and we will program the replacement cluster to match so the odometer reads correctly and no SKIM or SKREEM mismatch is stored.

Which Vehicles Accept This Cluster

Fitment covers the Visteon EL-Glow platform used on 2001 to 2006 Chrysler Sebring JR sedan, JX convertible and ST coupe, the 2001 to 2006 Dodge Stratus, and the 2005 to 2010 Chrysler 300, 300C and SRT-8 along with the Dodge Magnum and Charger that share the LX-platform dash. Because Mopar revised the build-sheet several times, you must cross-reference the 10-digit sticker on the back of your existing cluster. Accepted numbers include 04602340AE, 04602524AH, 04602525AH, 56044953AE, 56044954AG, 05172222AG, 56029342AH and all intermediate supersessions.

Do-It-Yourself Install Notes

Removing the cluster on a Sebring or 300 is a 25-minute job with basic hand tools. Pull the steering-column shroud, remove the four T-20 Torx screws securing the instrument bezel, disconnect the two factory harness connectors, and the cluster slides out. Before installing the refurbished unit, disconnect the negative battery terminal for at least 60 seconds so the BCM forgets the old cluster security seed. Plug the replacement in, reconnect the battery, and cycle the key to ON three times. The speedometer and tachometer will sweep through a self-test and the mileage we pre-programmed will appear on the LCD.

Warranty and Core Policy

Every refurbished cluster carries a 12-month functional warranty covering the EL foil, inverter and gauge movements. We ask for your old cluster back as a core return within 30 days; the core deposit is refunded once we confirm the board is repairable. This keeps our rebuild inventory flowing and keeps your replacement price lower than an OEM dealer part by a significant margin.

Cluster vs. Mail-In Repair: Which Is Right for You?

Choose the refurbished cluster if you need the car back on the road in the shortest possible window: typical ship time is next business day. Choose our Sebring 300 mail-in repair service instead if you want to keep your original housing, original mileage EEPROM and original build tags. Either path produces the same EL-foil and inverter rebuild: the only difference is whether we work on your hardware or supply pre-built hardware in exchange.
